Dr. Maher Bahloul holds a Ph.D in Linguistics from Cornell University, New York, USA, 2 MA degrees: one from the Sorbonne University, Paris III, France and a second from Cornell University, New York.
Dr. Bahloul has taught courses in language (English, Arabic, and French), translation, and linguistics for the past 26 years.
His research interest covers issues in theoretical linguistics, applied linguistics, the sociology of language, and pedagogy, especially the growing field of edutainment.
 
He published books, book chapters, and articles in a variety of internationally well renowned peer reviewed venues including BRILL and ROUTLEDGE. He also participated in more than 70 international conferences in various parts of the globe through which he has been sharing his views about language, its structure, meanings, and most effective ways of teaching & learning.
Finally, Dr. Bahloul has taught in the United States, North Africa, and the Middle East. He is currently Associate Professor of English & Linguistics at the American University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
